Anthropic commits $100 million to train enterprise AI engineers
Claude Frontier Academy aims to train 10,000 forward-deployed engineers by the end of 2027, reflecting the growing bottleneck between capable models and reliable deployment.
AI / NEWS BRIEF
Dots pair GPT-6 Astra with a persistent cloud computer and connected applications. The launch moves consumer AI toward ongoing delegated work, with important limits and approval controls.
OpenAI has begun rolling out Dots to eligible Pro, Business Premium and Enterprise users. The company says each Dot is powered by GPT-6 Astra, operates on its own cloud computer and can connect to more than 4,000 applications through plugins. A primary Dot is included with Pro and Business Premium, while broader access and additional Dots are planned.
Unlike a single chat session, a Dot can continue assignments in the background, manage multiple projects and communicate through ChatGPT, Slack or Teams. OpenAI describes proactive research as read-only when the user is away. Actions with account or information-sharing consequences are checked against permissions, rules and approval requirements, while some sensitive actions remain with the user.
This is a meaningful shift from answering prompts to maintaining an ongoing working relationship with an agent. The commercial test will be whether that persistence produces dependable completed work without creating excessive oversight, security or usage costs. OpenAI’s examples describe intended and early-test behavior; they do not independently establish reliability across every connected service or consequential workflow.

Google has announced its next frontier model, initially for trusted cyber defenders. Broad availability remains ahead, and the advertised gains require independent testing.
